Samuel J. Campbell
M.D., F.A.C.O.G.

Like all children, when Dr. Campbell was growing up, he would go see a pediatrician when he felt bad, and the visits would usually lead him to feel better. Inspired by his own experiences, he realized that he wanted to make people feel better as well, and he decided to go into medicine at a young age. We and his patients are so glad he did!

Originally from Manassas, he came to RVA for medical school and never left. Richmond’s variety of restaurants, concert venues, cultural events, and easily accessible parks help make Dr. Campbell proud to call the area home. On the weekends, you can find him out on a run or bike ride. He also enjoys traveling the world, skiing, or hanging with his dog Chino.

“I have found Dr. Campbell to be very thorough, caring, and an excellent surgeon. I have been a RN for 37 years and have known many physicians professionally and personally, I have found Dr. Campbell to be one of my favorites. He is well respected by the staff in his office and at the hospital in which I was a patient. He has an excellent bedside manner which is vital when you are stressed.” – Healthgrades Review, 2017
