Dr. Aboujaoude sees patients at the Urogynecology Center inside VPFW’s Koger Center and Prince George offices. He performs procedures at Johnston-Willis Hospital and the Surgery Center at VPFW.

Meet Dr. Aboujaoude

Dr. Aboujaoude – pronounced “Ah-boo-jah-dee” –has always been interested in how to solve a major problem with a simple solution. That is what drew him to urogynecology while studying medicine and training around the world. He is also one of the kindest and funniest doctors you’ll ever meet.

As an award-winning, board-certified urogynecologist, Dr. Aboujaoude is specially trained and experienced in the evaluation and treatment of patients with pelvic floor disorders. He sees patients suffering from urinary incontinence (leaky bladder), pelvic organ prolapse (dropping of the vagina, uterus, cystocele, rectocele), and fecal incontinence.

Dr. Aboujaoude’s passion lies in improving women’s quality of life by guiding them towards individualized treatment options. He takes time to understand his patients’ problems and helps them find a solution that works best for their everyday lives. Options might range from physical therapy to minimally invasive surgery, and he works with his patients to determine treatment plans that meet their needs and suit their lifestyles.

Having continuous change and modernization is a source of Dr. Aboujaoude’s love for his job. He enjoys the variety of work each day brings, whether that’s meeting with and evaluating patients in his office or conducting minimally invasive surgeries using robotic technology. (He’s done over 1,500 of these procedures!) Dr. Aboujaoude enjoys keeping up with all of the technological advances that allow doctors to help their patients with less invasive procedures and more efficiency.

In 2013, Dr. Aboujoaude was thrilled to start the Urogynecology Center at VPFW. After many years of seeing OB/GYN patients as well as urogynecology patients, he is now solely focusing on urogynecology.

A native of Lebanon, Dr. Aboujaoude is glad that he landed in RVA and says that it’s a great place to raise a family. His wife is a pharmacist, and they have two daughters. On the weekends, you may find Dr. Aboujaoude playing tennis or enjoying a day trip with his family to Wintergreen. They also love to travel abroad.
