Dr. Aboujaoude is a board-certified, award-winning urogynecologist known for his compassionate care, clinical excellence, and ability to make even the most complex issues feel manageable. He specializes in the treatment of pelvic floor disorders such as urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and fecal incontinence — with a strong focus on helping women improve their quality of life through the least invasive solutions possible.
His philosophy is simple: surgery should never be the first option. Dr. Aboujaoude takes the time to understand each patient’s symptoms, goals, and lifestyle before creating a personalized treatment plan. He offers a wide range of non-surgical options, including pelvic floor physical therapy, behavioral techniques, and medical therapies, helping patients find relief without the need for an operation.
When surgery is necessary, Dr. Aboujaoude brings a high level of skill and experience. He has performed over 2,100 robotic procedures and has been recognized multiple times by his hospital as a Master Surgeon for his commitment to surgical excellence and safety.
In 2013, Dr. Aboujaoude founded the Urogynecology Center at VPFW and now focuses exclusively on urogynecology. Originally from Lebanon, he trained around the world before making Richmond his home. He lives here with his wife, a pharmacist, and their two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, day trips to Wintergreen, and traveling abroad with his family.
