Monica Washington
M.D., F.A.C.O.G.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh (and, yes, she is a Steelers fan!), Dr. Washington fell in love with Richmond after coming here for medical school. After completing her residency in New Jersey, she just couldn’t resist the opportunity to land back in RVA. Now, she’s established roots, and she and her husband are happy to be raising their children and schnoodle here. Her youngest child was even delivered by a VPFW doctor!

Recognized for her patience and attentiveness, Dr. Washington loves that she gets to work in a specialty that combines health, medicine, and surgery. She strives to make sure women understand each season of their lives and that they’re comfortable with their plan of care. Outside of caring for her patients, you can find Dr. Washington spending time with her family and exploring all that Richmond has to offer.

“Dr. Washington and Kari are so kind and caring. You can tell that they enjoy what they do and they make sure that the patient is comfortable and understands what’s going on. They are a great team! I’ve encountered very few teams that work as well as they do together. Very welcoming and compassionate.” – Patient Survey, 2017
