What are some of your favorite things about living here?
Richmond is home. It is where I was born and raised. I have enjoyed living and working where I grew up. Richmond has grown significantly over the years, not only in size, but also in its culture and the many opportunities it provides for work and leisure activities. I appreciate the city-like opportunities with the small town feel. Its location is great too, making it easy to get to the beach, Northern Virginia and Charlottesville without a problem. I think Richmond is by far, the best place to live!

What do you do for fun?
I enjoy spending time with my children; and although I don’t get out on the course often, I enjoy playing golf when I can.

What 1 thing do you never leave home without?
I never leave home without kissing my children and husband good-bye.

How do your patients describe you?
Thorough, patient, and compassionate.

Why did you choose to practice medicine, and/or your field?
I enjoy caring for women from their teen years through menopause. Helping to bring new life into the world is such an amazing experience and honor.

When you’re craving a snack, what do you reach for?
Starbucks coffee (decaf!)

Which women’s health issue(s) are you particularly passionate about, and why?
Contraceptive counseling. There are so many options for contraception these days, but each has its own inherent risks and benefits. I think it is important for women to understand their options before choosing the right one for them.
