John R. Partridge, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.

Dr. Partridge, a native of Washington, D.C., now lives in Midlothian, Virginia with his wife, Deborah. From 2003 through 2006, he served as Virginia Section Chair for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and has been past President of both the Virginia OB/GYN Society and the Richmond OB/GYN Society. From 1991 through 2008, he served as President of Virginia Physicians for Women. From September 11, 2001 through June 2002 he was Chair of the Bioterrorism Taskforce of the Richmond Academy of Medicine. From 2000 to July 2003, he was a Board Member for the Virginia Birth Related Injury Fund.

Dr. Partridge enjoys teaching and as Associate Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and of Family Practice at Virginia Commonwealth University, he helps train medical students, residents, nursing students and nurse practitioners. He has authored a number of articles in medical journals. An avid amateur historian, he has written a biography on Dr. Lewis Bosher and is currently researching and writing several articles and books on Colonial history. His interests also include travel, public speaking, golf, tennis, art work and gardening. He relishes time with his grown children, Mark and Tracey. Like them, he loves animals and particularly his two spirited Chihuahuas, Sebastian and Pablo Leonardo Simon Bolivar Napoleon Montezuma Partridge.

Dr. Partridge has been named one of America's Top Obstetricians and Gynecologists by the Consumer's Research Council of America.
